Diclofenac (DCF) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain in joint-related diseases. It is not completely metabolized after consumption and cannot be easily removed using conventional wastewater treatment. DCF has been detected in water bodies and may pose chronic effects on the endocrines of living organisms even at low-level exposure. Heterogeneous photocatalysis provides an alternative and efficient method of degrading DCF. In this study, the photocatalytic remov...

This paper focuses on the difference between the effect of heating and reheating on sunflower oil properties by using carbon dioxide laser and electrical heater. Two samples of sunflower oil were heated and reheated with carbon dioxide laser beaming up to 50°C, which takes 30 minutes; another two samples were heated and reheated up to 250°C using electrical heater in two minutes, along with an unheated control sample at ambient conditions. Chemical properties like acid value, free fatty ...

This paper presents a power consumption estimation algorithm for static analysis. IR drop is being calculated for each separated node, which makes this algorithm favorable for IR drop calculation on infinite power network. The power consumption is being calculated using random walk algorithm, which includes Monte Carlo simulation method for increasing accuracy of estimation. For power mesh with 150 k power nodes, total IR drop cal ...

In this report, we present fundamental DC conduction mechanisms of pol-yvinyl difluoride/nano-zinc oxide (PVDF/ZnO) composite films. Nano-composite films of zinc oxide in the PVDF matrix have been fabricated via a solution casting method. Space charge limited conduction (SCLC) was found to be a prominent conduction mechanism in higher voltage region and Schottky- Richardson mechanism was a possible conduction mechanism in a higher ...

The crystallization of calcium carbonate at interface of Langmuir monolayers of bovine serum albumin and subphase containing magnesium ions was studied in this paper. The results were characterized by using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The effect rules were obtained by the cooperation of bovine serum albumin Langmuir monolayers and magnesium ions. BSA Langmuir monolayers controlled calcium ...

A proposal of the
theoretical adsorption of 2H-Mo(1﹣x)W(x)S2-Ni over
graphene using extended Hückel tight-binding method was investigated. It is
well known that a theoretical prior investigation is well accepted by the
scientific community due to that
provides information regarding elec ...

Silica films
containing gold nanoparticles were grown by magnetron radio frequency (rf) sputtering
technique under various deposition conditions. The structural and optical properties
of the composite films deposited at 400℃ substrate temperature were compared with
those deposited at room temperature. Effect of substrate temperature of AuNPs on
micro structural properties of the Au/SiO2 ...

An experiment was conducted to synthesize carbon
nanospheres of different sizes by controlling the temperature in
polycondensation reactions of glucose under hydrothermal processes.
Morphological, structural, thermal, and optical properties of as-synthesized
particles were characterized using a transmission electron microscope (TEM),
scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), thermal
gravimetric analysis (TGA) ...

Vanadium or its alloy-based hydrides are intensively studied at the
moment with regard to their use as hydrogen absorbents. Most experiments were
carried out using “bulk” materials. This paper uses ion beam-assisted deposition technology (IBAD) to create
thin-film nanocrystalline VN x-H y hydrogen storages. The
transmission electron microscopy and
scanning electron microscopy were
used to study the initial stages of the film formation. The main mechanisms of
the formation of ...

A simple method was developed to synthesize the N-succinyl-chitosan (NSC)
successfully. NSC was characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR and element
analysis. The NSC can form nanoparticles with TPP through electrostatic interaction.
The morphology, particle size and zeta potential of the nanoparticle were
investigated and showed a 100 - 200 nm in diameter with a positive potential
9.99 mv. The encapsulation efficiency of
NSC-ES-NPs was 94.76 ± 0.05. The in vitro cell culture indicates th...
