Abstract

With the continuous penetration of artificial intelligence technologies into educational contexts, smart teaching platforms have become important vehicles for implementing the “AI Education” concept in foreign language instruction. Based on the WE Foreign Language Smart Teaching Platform and aimed at meeting the needs of professional foreign language talent cultivation, this paper explores the construction of an integrated intelligent education model that unifies “teaching, learning, assessment, and management.” Drawing on educational theories and the platform’s AI functions, the study analyzes the application value of the platform in scenarios such as oral assessment, essay grading, resource recommendation, and data tracking from three dimensions: intelligent teaching, autonomous learning, and learning condition monitoring. It also reveals limitations in responding to unexpected teaching situations, the maturity of AI agents, and practical application effectiveness. Based on user experience feedback, improvement suggestions are proposed, including optimizing platform functions, strengthening human-machine collaboration, improving supporting mechanisms, and enhancing the digital literacy of both teachers and students. This research provides a reference for the model restructuring and development pathways of generative AI-empowered foreign language teaching.
