Language teachers play a vital role in language education, directly impacting the quality of language learning for students at the basic education stage. This study delves into the analysis of the teacher training system in England, the current status of language teachers in primary and secondary schools, as well as the challenges they face. Following this, it provides reflections on these issues and presents specific recommendations, aiming to foster the continuous development of the language teacher workforce in England primary and secondary schools and enhance the overall quality of language education.
