Abstract: O objetivo deste trabalho foi desenvolver novos modelos de crescimento para recursos florestais aplicados à leucena [Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit], tendo como base as hipóteses biológicas propostas por Chapman-Richards e Silva-Bailey. O experimento de leucena foi conduzido na Esta o Experimental da Empresa Pernambucana de Pesquisa Agropecuária – IPA, Caruaru, PE. Foram utilizadas 544 árvores de leucena de um experimento com vinte remedi es realizadas ao longo de 12 anos. Compararam-se novos modelos de crescimento resultantes da combina o e varia es dos modelos de Chapman-Richards e Silva-Bailey, bem como outros comumente usados em recursos florestais. Para a sele o das equa es, utilizaram-se o índice de Ajuste (IA), o erro-padr o da estimativa e a distribui o gráfica dos resíduos. Os resultados indicaram que todos os modelos testados se ajustaram de maneira satisfatória aos dados, podendo ser utilizados para se estimar o crescimento em altura da leucena.
Stability Analysis of DFIG-based Wind Farms Using Different Bus Systems

Abstract: this paper shows an overview of the power system stability of DFIG based wind farms and conventional synchronous generator. For the optimized computation, the reduced order DFIG model was used in order to restrict calculation to the fundamental frequency component. It depends on accurate model of DFIG wind generator, modal analysis, PV curves, as well as time domain simulations could be used to study the effect on system stability of replacing conventional generation by DFIG-based wind generation on the IEEE 14-bus, IEEE 30-bus, IEEE 18-bus benchmark system, for fixed power factor and voltage control operation. This paper presents the block diagram of IEEE 14 bus system by using Wind Turbine. This paper indicates that the oscillatory behavior associated with the dominant mode of the synchronous generator, is improved when the DFIG-based wind turbine is connected to the system; this improvement in the damping ratios is more evident when the wind turbines are operated with terminal voltage control.
Reconstrucción del derecho a la libertad de expresión en la jurisprudencia Constitucional: concepto, escenarios y límites

Abstract: El texto analiza las sentencias de la Corte Constitucional (1992 – 2006) que hanconstruido el concepto, los alcances y los límites del derecho a la libertad deexpresión. Los interrogantes concretos que pretende resolver son los siguientes: cómo ha entendido la Corte Constitucional el derecho a la libertad de expresión? Cómo lo ha definido? Qué características le ha otorgado? Qué fundamentos ha se alado la Corte Constitucional que posee el mencionado derecho? En quéescenarios se ha desarrollado? Y, finalmente, cuáles son los límites que lajurisprudencia constitucional le ha se alado al derecho a la libertad de expresión?En un primer momento, por lo tanto, el texto desarrolla la definición ycaracterísticas que según la Corte Constitucional posee el derecho a la libertadde expresión. Posteriormente se se alan los escenarios en los que la jurisprudenciaconstitucional ha desarrollado el mencionado derecho. Esta descripción se realizacon base en dos criterios: a) el contenido de lo que se expresa y b) el medio através del cual se realiza la expresión. Finalmente se presentan las conclusionesde la investigación.

Abstract: El bagre (Rhamdia quelen), un pez nativo habitante de la mayoría de los ríos, lagos y lagunas de Santa Catarina, y que pertenecen a la orden Siluriformes, familia Pimelodidae, género Rhandia. El estudio tiene como objetivo evaluar el desempe o de este pez nativo en los sistemas más utilizados en Santa Catarina. El experimento se llevó a cabo en el ámbito del Campo Experimental de Piscicultura de Camboriú CEPC-EPAGRI, cuando 11 tanques excavados fueron utilizados, tres en representación de un monocultivo de bagre con una densidad de 1,5 p/m2, tres en representación de un bicultivo de bagre y tilapia con una densidad de 3p/m2, tres en representación de un policultivo de la carpa, tilapia y "jundiás" con una densidad de 3p/m2, y en dos tanques excavados fueron instalados seis tanques redes, en representación de las culturas de alta densidad de 50 y 100 p/m3.
Mitigating Performance Degradation in Congested Sensor Networks

Abstract: In today’s world Wireless Sensor Networks are used in many industrial and civilian application areas. Maintaining Sensor Network is very cost-effective so sensors will be shared by multiple applications to gather various types of data. All the data generated in Sensor Network will not be equally important, some data may be important than other. Thus a differentiated data delivery is required in Sensor Networks for HP and LP data. To accomplish this task this system uses CAR and MCAR routing mechanisms whose main aim is to increase the delivery ratio of HP data and to increase the performance of the system in presence of congestion. So the scope of the system can be confined as the task of integration of the existing technology and proposed routing protocols to the maximum level possible so that it reduce the time and cost significantly and the system can be utilized and implied in the suitable way possible. Abstract: This study was performed to examine whether the Biology-3 textbook that approved by Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education- Chairmanship of Training Committee and used for secondary school in 2004-2005 academic year in Turkey, appropriate in term of visual presentation or not. As a result, it was determined that biology-3 textbook, are inappropriate in respect of visual presentation. It was recommended that biology-3 textbook must be improved by visual presentation.

Abstract: The construction “N1 you V guo N2” pervasively visible in China has demonstrated its typical cog-pragmatic features. It is pointed out that “you” and “guo” in this construction are the results of notional verbs’ grammaticalization. Grammatical features and cognitive motivation of it have been discussed based on the project theory and de-categorization theory. In its grammaticalization and pragmaticalization process the pragmatic markers contribute the most. Considering the integrated meaning from social, pragmatic and cognitive perspectives, it is found that the construction is out of the speaker’s particular intention, also the results of pragmaticalization.
