O que se estuda aqui é a forma como vêm sendo operacionalizadas as políticas de promo o da igualdade racial no Brasil - tendo como foco de análise a Secretaria Especial de Políticas de Promo o da Igualdade Racial (SEPPIR), do Governo Federal -, e o conceito de igualdade insculpido no artigo 5o da Constitui o Federal, que determina "todos s o iguais perante a lei".
