This study seeks the strategy alternatives for continuous port competitiveness
of Busan port improvement in rapidly changing of environment in Northeast Asia shipping.
This study aims: 1) to compare port competitiveness of Busan and Shanghai port using
entropy weigh TOPSIS; 2) to seek ways to improve port competitiveness of Busan port.
After searching the related criteria on port competitiveness factors for analysis,
the main criteria are divided into two categories: port throughput (port throug...

Trade relation of Korea and China has been growing explosively
since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. Now, China is important
to the role of market in Korea. Therefore, it is very important to develop economy
and trade relations. So in this study, we analyzed the impacts of FTA and economic
integration on trade value using HS 85’s panel data of 45 countries trading with
Korea from 1992 until 2013 by gravity model. It can be inferred how many impacts
of Korea and China’s FTA on ...

Deforestation and habitat fragmentation are the major environmental
concerns in southwest Ethiopia. Understanding woody species diversity and
socio-economic factors causing destruction of natural forests is crucial in the
management of the remnant forest ecosystems. However, the forest in south west

Multiplicity of new cases of HIV/AIDS and its allied infectious diseases
daunted by lack of proper parametric estimation necessitated this present work.
Formulated using ordinary differential equation was a five-dimensional (5D)
differential mathematical model with which compatibility of optimal control
strategy for dual (viral load and parasitoid-pathogen) infectivity in the blood
plasma was investigated. Discretization method indicated the incompatibility of
the model due to large error deriva...

Long-term monitoring of near-ground ozone concentration was performed in
the remote mountain area as well as at rural and urban sites of South-East
Siberia. Ozone concentrations at all three sites had similar seasonal dynamics
with its maximum in spring and minimum in autumn. Such seasonal trends were
characteristic of many areas of the Northern Hemisphere. Diurnal fluctuations
of ozone concentrations were caused by photochemical generation of ozone at
daytime and its partial depletion at night....

Primary stabbing headache has been known for several
decades. However, the pathophysiology of this disease is not still understood.
It is clinically characterized by single episodes or short-lasting series of
stabbing pain recurring from once to many times per day in an irregular
pattern. The diagnosis is clinical and any other possible cause should be
excluded. The therapeutic approach indicates Indomethacin as the first choice
of treatment, although case reports describe a therapeutic response...

The present work describes the validation of an analytical method for
chromatographic determination of chlorimuron ethyl herbicide (compound of
sulphonylurea group) in sediments, in according with Brazilian legislation,
following the guidance and normative documents of INMETRO (DOQ-CGCRE-008) and
ANVISA (Resolution RE no. 899-2003). The results show that the chromatographic
method demonstrated to be selective, accurate, precision and linear over the
concentration range of 5.0 - 1000.0 μg·L ﹣...

This study sets out to investigate whether corporate agriculture has any
significant impact on Nigeria’s economy. The dimensions of impact assessed are
mainly capital investment, private sector’s participation, employment and rural
resource/infrastructural development. We used descriptive statistics and simple
percentages for evaluation. Secondary data from the Nigerian Stock Exchange
were collected, sorted, classified and used for the analysis, with extensive literature
review. The study finds ...

Political mobilization and voting patterns in Kenya
have revolved around ethnicity since the return to multi-party politics in
1992. Since then the contest in successive years has been largely confined to
the five big tribes who together constitute around 70% of the population. These
are the Kikuyu, Luhya, Kalenjin, Luo and Kamba in that order. But while the
Kikuyu, Kalenjin, Luo and Kamba have in one election or another rallied
overwhelmingly behind their kin, the Luhya have been averse to this...
