AM06 is a site upstream about 130 km of the calving front, where it was believed
in a region with weak accreted marine ice near the 500 m ice shelf draft line west
of Gillock Island. This borehole was melted through the shelf in January 2010, to
access the ocean cavity. Based on Microcats and ADCP data during 2010 and 2011,
the motion of AIS is discussed, water masses and circulation at the Amery Ice Shelf
are studied for the first time. Salinity and temperature data in the cavity at AM06
show a...

Geographic Information Systems (GIS), image processing in remote sensing and
analytical hierarchy process (AHP) were used to estimate and classify vulnerability
and inundation areas under the Tohoku tsunami event 2011 in the Ishinomaki, Miyagi
prefecture, Japan. Acceptable data were obtained from Geoeye-1 satellite image,
GSI DEM and field survey. Five factors of elevation, slope, shoreline distance,
river distance and vegetation were used to classify the vulnerability and be weighted
via AHP. B...

In this paper, it is proved that the small deformation strain tensor can be
used instead the fundamental metric tensor of the General Theory of Relativity,
in order to formulate a Dynamic Theory of Gravitation. Also, a solution
of the velocity of the gravitational interactions is given in terms of the escape
velocity due to the apparent size of the heavenly bodies. This last paragraph is
the motivation and the importance of the study here p...

For many years in the history of humans, there had been conflicting views
of the relationship between religion and secularity. Some adherents decry the
fact that religion should have any relation with the secular because religion
is entirely metaphysical while secularity relates to mundane things. In modern
scholarship, this issue has continued to engage the attention of scholars, practioners
of religion, individuals and the general public. Religion has both negative and
positive dimensions. It ...

The artificial application of water to land to aid crop production has
enabled man to increase his ability to produce food and cash crops. All-the-year
round crop production is now possible instead of the previous restriction to
rain fed agriculture. However, conserving water and delivery it to the fields
in an efficient manner has continued to be a challenge. The design of
small-scale irrigation project will provide supplementary irrigation for many
farmers. This paper presents design of small ...

Mobile Cloud computing is a technology of delivering services, such as software,
hardware (virtual as well) and bandwidth over the Internet. Mobile devices are enabled
in order to explore, especially Smart phones. The mobile cloud computing technology
is growing rapidly among the customers and many companies such as Apple, Google,
Facebook and Amazon with rich users. Users can access their data at any time, at
any place, even with any device including mobile devices by using the cloud storage

Study of platelet aggregation function can help early diagnostics of microvasculature’s
disorders. Purpose of the study is evaluation of changes of platenet aggregation
activity in children with chronic inflammation. Materials and methods: 85 children
examined, of whom 45 children with cystic fibrosis (mixed form) aged 8 months to
17 years. The platelet aggregation in children’s whole blood was studied using aggregometer
“Multiplate” (VerumDiagnostica, Germany). The following agents were used as...

The recent studies have showed neural stem cells
(NSCs) transplantation promoted repair and functional recovery of chronic
experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE) animal model for MS based on the
concept of cell replacement. In the present study, NSCs were transplantated
into each lateral ventricle of rats at 10 days and sacrificed at 60 days after
EAE immunization. We found that NSCs transplantation significantly reduced the
clinical signs, suppressed brain inflammation and improved densi...

This study seeks the strategy alternatives for continuous port competitiveness
of Busan port improvement in rapidly changing of environment in Northeast Asia shipping.
This study aims: 1) to compare port competitiveness of Busan and Shanghai port using
entropy weigh TOPSIS; 2) to seek ways to improve port competitiveness of Busan port.
After searching the related criteria on port competitiveness factors for analysis,
the main criteria are divided into two categories: port throughput (port throug...

Trade relation of Korea and China has been growing explosively
since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. Now, China is important
to the role of market in Korea. Therefore, it is very important to develop economy
and trade relations. So in this study, we analyzed the impacts of FTA and economic
integration on trade value using HS 85’s panel data of 45 countries trading with
Korea from 1992 until 2013 by gravity model. It can be inferred how many impacts
of Korea and China’s FTA on ...
