Abstract

Information and Communication Sciences analyze a wide range of applied communication domains, yet they often struggle to integrate them within a unified psychological framework. This article proposes an Applied Psychology of Communications approach that conceptualizes communication practices as situated configurations of cognitive, affective, and social processes. It demonstrates that organizational, educational, political, media, and digital communication systems actively shape attention, emotional engagement, and meaning construction. The article further introduces a transversal analytical framework designed to strengthen the articulation between theory and practice in Information and Communication Sciences and to support the development of analytical and intervention tools adapted to contemporary communication contexts.
