Another Path for Feminism: A Research Review of the Film There’s Still TomorrowDOI: 10.4236/oalib.1115225, PP. 1-12 Subject Areas: Literature Keywords: There’s Still Tomorrow, Nora’s Exit, Feminism Abstract The first work There’s Still Tomorrow by Italian director Paola Cortellesi is set in Italy in 1946 after the war. It centers on Delia, a working-class house-wife, and her struggle for survival under patriarchal oppression. Through narrative techniques such as black humor and surrealism, the film explores women’s awakening, intergenerational resistance, and the isomorphic rela-tionship between women and the destiny of the nation. Integrating the tradi-tion of Italian neorealism with innovative expression, the film addresses heavy themes with a light touch, embedding individual narratives into grand history. It proves that “humor is a serious weapon” and presents an alterna-tive path for feminism beyond “Nora leaving home,” offering a new paradigm for feminist cinema. Yao, K. and Qian, W. (2026).
