Research and Application of Interactive Teaching Mode in College English Reading Comprehension

Abstract

In recent years, the interactive teaching methodology has received widespread attention in English reading instruction. This paper aims to delve into the application of the interactive teaching method in college English reading classes, analyzing the interactive activities between teachers and students, among students, and between students and reading materials, with the goal of enhancing students’ reading comprehension abilities and cultivating good reading habits. Although the traditional teaching mode has its advantages in vocabulary explanation and grammar analysis, the interactive teaching methodology, through multi-dimensional interactive activities, is expected to effectively improve students’ reading proficiency, foster their critical thinking skills, and enhance their cross-cultural communication abilities. This paper is not only based on theoretical discussions but also attempts to support the validity of the interactive teaching methodology through empirical data.
