Exploring the Differentiation of Chinese and Japanese Ancient Architecture in Game DesignDOI: 10.4236/oalib.1110982, PP. 1-12 Subject Areas: Culture, Architecture, Game Design Keywords: Ancient Architecture, Video Games, Traditional Culture Abstract Japanese ancient architecture has a close correlation with Chinese ancient architecture in terms of historical development, and the architectural forms also show similarities. In game design, the creators have a good grasp of some intuitive differences between Chinese and Japanese ancient architecture. However, there are still overlooked aspects, including the spatial layout of architectural complexes, the enclosure styles of courtyards, variations in large roofs and differences in roofing materials. Understanding these differences can assist game designers in achieving a more effective differentiation of Chinese and Japanese ancient architecture. Xia, S. (2023).
