The Impact of the Organizational DNA on the Institutional Excellence of Alexandria Petroleum Companies through Improving Organizational Performance as a Mediating Variable
The purpose of paper is to explore the role of the organizational performance as a mediating variable between organizational DNA and institutional excellence, also the paper aims to review the concept of organizational performance, and the different elements of organizational DNA and institutional excellence in service business organizations. In order to achieve the purposes of the study, researcher adopted a descriptive analytical method. The study develops a number of hypotheses and tests them. Of the (500) questionnaires that were distributed, (432) usable questionnaires were returned, a response rate of (86.4%). Analyzing data was conducted using a set of statistical methods including a normality test along with Cronbach’s alpha, standard deviation, confirmatory factor analysis, exploratory factor analysis, multiple and simple linear regression using SPSS-V26 and AMOS-V26. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: 1) There is a statistically impact at significant level (α ≤ 0.05) of organizational DNA on institutional excellence through the organizational performance as a mediating variable in Alexandria petroleum companies; 2) There is a significant correlation between organizational performance and organizational DNA, also there is a significant correlation between organizational DNA and institutional excellence, and finally there is a significant correlation between organizational performance and institutional excellence. The study provided a set of recommendations including: 1) Organizations and institutions should be encouraged to establish excellence by instilling standards of excellence in daily administrative procedures; 2) Encouraging organizations to pay attention to the components of organizational DNA (decision making rights, information, motivators, and structure) as they can form the organization’s culture (decision making rights, information, motivators, and structure) which can help to identify organization strengths and weaknesses, and how to cope it.
