Mathematical Analysis of the Role of Information on the Dynamics of Typhoid Fever

Nyanga H. Masasila,Rigobert C. Ngeleja,Odeli J. Kigodi
This study presents a deterministic model to examine how information affects the spread of Typhoid Fever. The model’s properties, including its stability and basic reproduction number, are analyzed. Simulations show that information can influence behavior in ways that may increase disease transmission. Notably, the rise in Typhoid cases is linked to poor adherence to health precautions. The findings highlight the critical role of public education in controlling the disease and emphasize the need...

Selected Mung Bean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) Genotypes’ Agronomic Performance in Sole and Intercropping Systems in Ghana’s Sudan Ecology

Aziiba Emmanuel Asibi,Richard Dormatey,Peter Quandahor,Issah Sugri,Julius Yirzagla,Francis Kusi,Agbesi Kwadzo Keteku,Patrick Attamah,Ramson Adombilla,Lamini Salim,Peter Anabire Asungre,Muktharu Zakaria
Ghanaians place a high value on agriculture, but crop cultivation is threatened by increase in extreme weather events. Diversified and intensive cropping system, such as intercropping major cereals with orphan or neglected legumes can increase total productivity. To determine which mung bean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) genotype is promising for maize-mung bean intercropping, a two-year experiment was carried out at Manga (11?01N, 0?16W). The findings indicated that every genotype examined (IC-393...
