Experience of traction using paster boot in fractures of bones of limb bones, PP. 90-103 Subject Areas: Pediatrics, Anatomy & Physiology, Orthopedics Keywords: Fracture, enfant, botte platrée, traction, children, plaster boot Abstract Background: The authors report their experience in the traction with plaster boot for lower limb's fractures of children with 12% of bedsores by compression. This result seems to be better than the one obtains with sticking plaster in absence of adhesive plaster. Bedsores were not observed with application of cotton wool on heels and feet. The authors have solved their materiel constraints in orthopedic treatment of children's fracture.Methods:296 tractions were realized at the Ndjili/ISTM hospital between 2000 and 2010. Results: with 12% of bedsores by compression, this result seems to be better than the one obtains with sticking plaster in absence of adhesive plaster. Bedsores were not observed with application of cotton wool on heels and feet. Conclusion The authors have solved their equipment constraints in orthopedic management of children's fracture.
