Géneros discursivos y lengua escrita: Propuesta de una concepción integral desde una perspectiva sociocognitivaKeywords: discourse genre, cognition, disciplinary knowledge. Abstract: the concept of discourse genre has been focus of wide discussion in recent bibliography. its definition and classifications have been a subject from multiple theoretical and empirical perspectives. particularly, it is worth foregrounding that its centrality within linguistic theories has occupied a predominant place during the last ten or fifteen years. even so, it is easy to realize that the elusive and divergent conceptions that underlie the term genre offer a wide variety of alternative options, making it possible to detect relatively extreme visions. in this context, this article proposes an interdisciplinary framework for the theoretical reflection that aims at achieving a comprehensive conception of discursive genres. therefore, without dismissing an acknowledgment of social and semiotic factors, an operational definition of this construct is proposed from a perspective that emphasizes the cognitive factor and the active role of the subject in its construction. at the same time, a proposal is advanced for the construction of academic and professional genres in disciplinary fields.
