%0 Journal Article %T G¨¦neros discursivos y lengua escrita: Propuesta de una concepci¨®n integral desde una perspectiva sociocognitiva %A Parodi %A Giovanni %J Letras %D 2009 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the concept of discourse genre has been focus of wide discussion in recent bibliography. its definition and classifications have been a subject from multiple theoretical and empirical perspectives. particularly, it is worth foregrounding that its centrality within linguistic theories has occupied a predominant place during the last ten or fifteen years. even so, it is easy to realize that the elusive and divergent conceptions that underlie the term genre offer a wide variety of alternative options, making it possible to detect relatively extreme visions. in this context, this article proposes an interdisciplinary framework for the theoretical reflection that aims at achieving a comprehensive conception of discursive genres. therefore, without dismissing an acknowledgment of social and semiotic factors, an operational definition of this construct is proposed from a perspective that emphasizes the cognitive factor and the active role of the subject in its construction. at the same time, a proposal is advanced for the construction of academic and professional genres in disciplinary fields. %K discourse genre %K cognition %K disciplinary knowledge. %U http://www.scielo.org.ve/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0459-12832009000300001&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
