Estudio morfológico de Ceramium clarionense Setchell N. L. Gardner (Ceramiaceae, Rhodophyta), una novedad para el Mar Caribe

the occurrence of ceramium clarionense from venezuela coast is the first report in the caribbean sea. this is characterized by seven-eight periaxials cells, each one laterally producing a pseudoperiaxial cell, one to two rows of basipetals cells, adventitious branches frequent, forcipate apices and emergent tetrasporangia whorled with cortical involucres. a description of the species is presented with vegetative and reproductive morphological data.
