Efecto de los estilos de aprendizaje y la autoeficacia computacional sobre el desempe?o en el foro electrónicoKeywords: learning styles, computational self-efficacy, performance in online forums. Abstract: the effect of learning styles and computational self-efficacy in the internet forum performance has been analyzed in this investigation. the sample consisted of 83 universidad simón bolívar students. this performance was measured through 3 indicators: the interventions, the efficacy of a test and the creation of group knowledge. we conducted a factorial analysis of variance (anova) 4 x 3. the results show that learning styles do not have a meaningful effect in internet forum performance, but only in the efficacy of this test. computational self-efficacy exists in each one of the indicators, and the interaction between both variables doesn?t have any relevance to the non-presential education activities, but it is relevant when it comes to on-site education activities. these results may have implications for teaching as well as for the design of strategies for courses that use online forums as a support.
