Génesis del pensamiento político MusulmánKeywords: community, politics, religion, state, islam. Abstract: this paper studies the origin of muslim political thought, which from its beginnings, appeared as a political-religious community, identifying both aspects. the foundation of islam is religious, not political thought: the revelation of the one god, the infinitely exalted creator, benefactor, judge of men and their pretension to ?unconditional dedication? (islam). islam knows no distinction between secular law and religious law, between the sacred and the civil, between religion and state. the practical consequence of this identification is the always-present temptation of sectarianism and discrimination (typical of religions) against those who do not profess its same theological principles, the inevitable fruit of the dangerous political-religious binomial. furthermore, the article studies the precursors and main representatives of muslim political philosophy during the medieval period, the period when this thought was born and developed.
