Abstract:

the teacher's knowledge assumes an important role in research as well as in teacher training programs. to make possible a fruitful discussion on such knowledge, it is important to have as a starting point the teacher's practices. from such practice emerges the knowledge teachers have and use. in this paper we present and discuss two situations from a primary school class -of reviewing the content-, in which we identify the teacher's professional knowledge dimensions. we discuss those dimensions from the practice.
