Abstract: this essay dwells on the value and sense of a certain relationship with ignorance when locating philosophy in educational land. its main purpose is not historiographical nor epistemological: it does not try to know or to determine what is ignorance, but only to consider a place for ignorance between those who teach and those who learn in order to open some established assumptions in the domain of philosophical practice with children. in a broader sense, it considers the place of knowledge and ignorance in the teaching of philosophy.
