this essay attempts to approach the meta-theoretical character of philosophical anthropology in social theory. to illustrate this relation we will summarize some anthropological suppositions in the case of émile durkheim's sociology of education. this work highlights the theoretical and practical importance of philosophical anthropologies and cryptoanthropologies in the field of social science.
