人教版初中英语七上新教材中插图的文化呈现研究

Abstract:
英语教材是英语教学的基础和主要依据。教育部于2022年新修订的义务教育课程标准提出：学习者能够在借助教材学习英语的过程中比较中外文化的异同，发展跨文化的沟通和交流能力，形成健康的审美情趣和正确的价值观，树立全球视野，坚定文化自信。这就要求作为英语教学的载体——英语教材，需要呈现多样主题和内容的文化。插图作为英语教材的重要组成部分以生动且富有趣味的方式呈现文化内容和主题。本文将通过分析2024年人教版初中英语新教材中插图的文化呈现主题和内容出现频次，来呈现该教材插图的文化呈现样态。
English textbooks are the foundation and main basis for English teaching. The newly revised Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards issued by the Ministry of Education in 2022 state that learners can compare the similarities and differences between Chinese and foreign cultures through textbooks, develop the ability of cross-cultural communication, form healthy aesthetic tastes and correct values, establish an international perspective and strengthen cultural confidence. This requires that English textbooks, as the carriers of English teaching, present cultures with diverse themes and contents. Illustrations, as an important part of English textbooks, present cultural contents and themes in a vivid and interesting way. This article will take the illustrations in the new English textbooks for junior high school published by People’s Education Press, PEP EFL 7A, in 2024 as an example to analyze the classification of the themes and contents of cultural representation.
