Currently, as a medium of cultural dissemination, film and television dramas play a significant role in promoting the global presence of Chinese culture. Therefore, as a carrier of cultural communication, subtitle translation must keep pace with the times and remain concise and precise. The subtitle translation of the American TV series Brooklyn Nine-Nine is smooth and vivid. From the perspective of target-language audiences, it employs multiple translation strategies to fully portray the bustling and humor-filled Brooklyn Police Department. This paper aims to examine the subtitle translation of this series, exploring how to accurately and skillfully convey source-language information from diverse perspectives to better serve target-language audiences.
