浅析杨宪益的文化态度——以杨译《阿Q正传》的翻译为例

Abstract:
杨宪益乃国内译著等身的翻译巨匠，对弘扬中国文化起到了举足轻重的作用。本文以杨宪益作为译者主体的文化态度为切入点，在梳理其翻译言论及通过建立语料库分析杨译《阿Q正传》的语言风格，浅析其文化态度，再者以《阿Q正传》为案例，通过比较杨译本与英国学者蓝诗玲的译本，分析杨宪益的翻译策略选择，最终探析杨宪益的文化态度与其翻译策略选择之间的内在联系。
Yang Hsien-yi is a productive Chinese translator who made great contributions to the dissemination of Chinese culture. This paper takes Yang Hsien-yi’s cultural attitude as the starting point, analyzing his translation theories through his remarks and examining the linguistic style of his translation of The True Story of Ah-Q using a corpus-based approach. The paper explores his cultural attitude, and further analyzes his translation strategy choices by comparing his translation The True Story of Ah-Q and The Real Story of Ah-Q, another translation by a British sinologist Julia Lovell, thereby analyzing the connection between Yang Hsien-yi’s cultural attitude and his translation strategy.
