Tradition and Rebellion—A Brief Analysis of Odd Nerdrum’S Painting Art Style

二十世纪，人们通常认为现代艺术已经和过去的传统彻底决裂，各种艺术流派层出不穷，从世纪初的立体派、野兽派、达达派、未来派、到后来的波普艺术、概念艺术和表现主义交替更迭，这些艺术流派都向古典主义绘画发出了冲击。在这样的艺术背景下，挪威画家奥德·纳德卢姆始终捍卫着古典主义的绘画技巧，用传统的绘画图式传达出他自己独特的生命体验，其超出前人的绘画技巧和创作意识在当下仍然具有重要的意义。奥德用象征、暗喻的手法表达出自己丰富的内心世界，其作品古老、神秘的气质，不同寻常又具有深意的人物形象，使其作品有着神秘而迷人的魅力。本文以奥德的绘画作品为中心，通过论述奥德绘画风格形成的原因、不同时期作品的面貌以及在奥德作品中对于传统绘画语言的应用和再创造，目的是较为全面地分析奥德绘画的独特性与重要意义，阐述古典主义绘画长久的生命力。
In the 20th century, modern art was generally considered to have completely broken with the traditions of the past, and various art schools emerged in an infinite number, from Cubism, brutalism, Dada, and Futurism at the beginning of the century, to Pop art, conceptual art and expressionism later, all of which had an impact on classical painting. Under such an artistic background, Norwegian painter Odd Nerdrum has always defended the classical painting technique and used the traditional painting schema to convey his own unique life experience. His painting technique and creative consciousness beyond the predecessors are still of great significance at present. Odd uses symbolism and metaphor to express his rich inner world. The ancient and mysterious temperament of his works, as well as the unusual and profound character images, make his works mysterious and charming. Centered on Oder’s paintings, this paper discusses the reasons for the formation of Oder’s painting style, the appearance of Odd’s works in different periods, and the application and recreation of traditional painting language in Odd’s works, aiming to comprehensively analyze the uniqueness and significance of Odd’s paintings and expound the long-term vitality of classical painting.
