|
Abstract:
The incidence of type 2 diabetes is increasing year by year, and its complications often seriously harm people’s health. Magnesium ion is an important cation in human body and participates in a variety of enzyme linked reactions in human body. Research has shown that the change of serum level of magnesium ions in the human body participates in the development of type 2 diabetes, and in recent years the study found that the change of the serum magnesium levels is related to the type 2 diabetes complications such as retinopathy, diabetic nephropathy, and associated cardiovascular complications. And there are also studies on the use of magnesium in the treatment of type 2 diabetes and its complications. This article reviews the role of magnesium ion in type 2 diabetes and its complications, and provides new ideas for the treatment of type 2 diabetes in the future.
