Punitive Damages In Turkish Competition Law

The private enforcement of competition law has potential to play an important role in achieving undistorted competitive markets. Regarding this, the Act No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition article 58 allows victims of unlawful acts of undertakings that infringe the competition norms to bring damages actions cases before the courts. According to article 58, it is possible to request treble damages via private litigation.
