Cacophony: Revealing The Noise of Control

This article discusses how the algorithmic governmentality affects social change as a political-economic control instrument, defined as noise, error and failure. Noise that restricts democratic participation by interfering with the decision-making and judicial processes will be regarded as an epistemic inquiry instrument rather than merely as a problem in this article. This epistemic inquiry instrument, conceptualized as “cacophony”, aims at exploring how technoscientific knowledge and power implicitly establishes relations of domination. Each part in the article reveals how noise, as a sonic warfare weapon, operates the tactics of control such as epistemic asymmetry, black boxing, stupidity, obsolescence design, and rationalizatio
