Comparison of Siyar Narratives in Sahīhain and Sīrat Ibn Hishām in Terms of MethodologyKeywords: Hadis,siyer,es-S?retü’n-nebeviyye,el-Cami?u’?-?a???,?a???ayn Abstract: Ibn Hishām’s al Sīrat al nabawiyyah is the most ancient and sacred work of the siyar area. Bukhārī and Muslim’s al Jāmi? al sahīh are the most widely accepted books of the science of hadith. Sahīhain is a very important source for the scientific knowledge of siyar with its comprehensive content. Apart from those repeated, Sahīhain, which contains around 1500 narrations, offers a wide database of knowledge to siyar. Sīrat and Sahīhain both contain similarities and differences in terms of content and method. In this article, the mentioned works are compared in terms of the methods related to the sanad and the matn. According to methodology in terms of sanad; sanady and sanad-less riwayats, common and different ruwat, thiqat and daif ruwāt and unknown ruwāt; on the other hand in terms of methodology concerning the article there will be comparisons providing the integrity of the subject, delineation of the dates related with the matter, evaluation about the text and telling random riwayats. Thus, the similarities and differences between Ibn Hishām’s al Sīrat al nabawiyyah and Bukhārī and Muslim’s Sahīhain were tried to be revealed
