One Dimensional Flood Flow Modelling in the K？r？kkale ？oruh？zü Stream

In this study, a one-dimensional flood flow modelling for the ？oruh？zü stream, a tributary of the K？z？l？rmak River, was performed. For this purpose, synthetic unit hydrographs in the stream basin by the DS？ snythetic and Mockus methods were first obtained utilizing the recent precipitation data from the K？r？kkale Meteorology Station until 2015. Then, flood peaks were calculated for different return periods. The 8-km stream section restored by DS？ in 1999 was modelled by HEC-RAS in order to investigate whether it is capable of carrying the 500 and 1000 year flood peaks. As the study result indicate the current cross-sections are unfortunately unable to pass the given flood discharges under consideration
