For this purpose, synthetic unit hydrographs in the stream basin by the DS£¿ snythetic and Mockus methods were first obtained utilizing the recent precipitation data from the K£¿r£¿kkale Meteorology Station until 2015. Then, flood peaks were calculated for different return periods. The 8-km stream section restored by DS£¿ in 1999 was modelled by HEC-RAS in order to investigate whether it is capable of carrying the 500 and 1000 year flood peaks.
