Soundpainting Approach in Choir Education and PerformanceKeywords: Do?a?lama,Koro,Soundpainting,Koro Performans?,Soundpainting Abstract: Soundpainting is a multi-disciplinary, real-time sign language developed by Walter Thompson in 1974 for different disciplines of performing arts. In this study, the choir education process with Soundpainting approach was examined which resulted year-end choral concert of the 3rd class OMU Music Education Department. In the study, use and musical gains of Soundpainting gestures and palettes embedded polyphonic chorus pieces K?z?lc?klar Oldu Mu? which was predetermined and studied was examined. The research is a descriptive study and the data were obtained by literature review and observation. In the research, in the process of chorale improvisation, while the choir conductor play a role as composer and performer; choristists have become increasingly responsible for both basic and creative musical decisions
