Multi-Level Migration Governance in the Example of Syrian Asylum Seekers in Turkey

The aim of this study is to analyze the governance and implementation dimension of immigration policy in Turkey by taking into account the interactions among government organizations and ？ivil society actors in the implementation of policy decisions. In this study, semi-structured interviews were conducted in Hatay, Gaziantep, Kilis, and Istanbul to determine the implementation problems of migration policies for Syrian asylum-seekers in Turkey. Within the scope of the fieldwork, we have interviewed approximately a hundred actors who are from government institutions and organizations, municipalities, representatives of local, national and international non-governmental organizations and foreign organizations. The main goal of this study is to examine the migration management efforts in Turkey within the framework of a multi-level governance approach
