Diagnóstico destino turístico occidente de Boyacá

Resumen En este trabajo de investigación se realizó el diagnóstico estratégico de la provincia de occidente de Boyacá, como destino turístico, través de un estudio cualitativo- descriptivo-interpretativo logrado a partir de la recopilación de información mediante la aplicación de entrevistas semi- estructuradas a habitantes, turistas, empresarios y gobierno, de la provincia de Occidente; conocida por la extracción de esmeraldas de alta calidad. Los resultados muestran desarticulación, deficiente infraestructura en vías, tecnologías de información y comunicación, infraestructura turística y gestión del recurso humano. Abstract An strategic diagnosis of tourist destination of the West of Boyacá was made. The investigation was made through a qualitative - descriptive - interpretative study achieved as information given through application of semi structured interviews to inhabitants, tourists, government and entrepreneurs in the region. It was possible to present a diagnosis of the situation of tourism in the region which is well known by high quality emeralds exploitation. The results show disarticulation, bad road structure as well as in Information technology, communication, tourism infrastructure and human resources management
