The breast cancer patient in the cardioncology unit

Over the past 3 decades the breakthroughs of breast cancer (BC) treatment strategies—that included the addition of new generation systemic agents, as well as the use of more advanced and precise radiotherapy techniques—have significantly improved patient’s survival (1). The number of BC survivors is still growing; it has been estimated that nearly three million of them exist at present in the United States, and represent 41% of female cancer survivors.
