The renin-angiotensin system is an important factor for promoting the occurrence and development of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases. Studies have revealed that the ACE2/Apelin signaling plays a protective role in the cardiovascular system. This article reviews the latest research advances in ACE2/Apelin signaling and its regulatory role in atherosclerosis
