促微管聚合蛋白家族的研究进展Keywords: tubulin polymerization promoting protein microtubule nervous system disease tumor Abstract: Tubulin polymerization promoting proteins (TPPPs) can promote tubulin polymerization into microtubules and induce their bundling. They also function as the stabilization of microtubular network and play a crucial role in mitotic spindle formation. There are TPPP paralogs in the human genome: TPPP/p25, TPPP2/p18 and TPPP3/p20. The common C-terminal part of the 3 proteins is named as p25-α domain. TPPP1 is involved in the neurodegenerative disorders, such as multiple sclerosis and multiple system atrophy. TPPP3 is expressed in some tumor cells, and closely related to tumor cell proliferation, while TPPP2 is almost unknown so far. In this review, TPPPs and its related diseases is discussed in detail.
