IntacttheropoddinosaureggswithembryonicremainsfromtheLateCretaceousofsouthernChina, PP. 941-948 Keywords: dinosaurembryos,Nankang,JiangxiProvince Abstract: Inspiteoftremendousdiscoveriesofdinosaureggsandnestsovertheworld,dinosaurembryonicremainsarerare.Untiltoday,dinosaurembryosassociatedwitheggshellsareonlyknowninabout20cases,mostofwhichwererecoveredfrombrokenorcrushedeggs.HerewereportintactdinosaureggsinapartialclutchwithpreservedembryonicremainsineggsfromtheUpperCretaceousNanxiongFormationofGanzhouinthesouthernJiangxiProvinceofChina.Basedonmacro-andmicroscopicfeaturesofeggsandeggshells,theseeggswereidentifiedasElongatoolithussp.,andpossiblybelongtooviraptorosaurs.ACTscanningtopographyrevealedthatalltheeggscontainaccumulationsofembryonicbones,includingpossiblefemurandtibia.Ourdiscoverysuggeststhatdinosaurembryosmightbepreservedmorethanwehaverecognized,becauseintacteggspotentiallyconfineembryonicremains.
