%0 Journal Article %T IntacttheropoddinosaureggswithembryonicremainsfromtheLateCretaceousofsouthernChina %A SHAO %A Zhan-fu %A FAN %A Shao-hui %A JIA %A Song-hai %A TANAKA %A Kohei %A L¨¹ %A Jun-chang %J µØÖÊͨ±¨ %P 941-948 %D 2014 %X Inspiteoftremendousdiscoveriesofdinosaureggsandnestsovertheworld,dinosaurembryonicremainsarerare.Untiltoday,dinosaurembryosassociatedwitheggshellsareonlyknowninabout20cases,mostofwhichwererecoveredfrombrokenorcrushedeggs.HerewereportintactdinosaureggsinapartialclutchwithpreservedembryonicremainsineggsfromtheUpperCretaceousNanxiongFormationofGanzhouinthesouthernJiangxiProvinceofChina.Basedonmacro-andmicroscopicfeaturesofeggsandeggshells,theseeggswereidentifiedasElongatoolithussp.,andpossiblybelongtooviraptorosaurs.ACTscanningtopographyrevealedthatalltheeggscontainaccumulationsofembryonicbones,includingpossiblefemurandtibia.Ourdiscoverysuggeststhatdinosaurembryosmightbepreservedmorethanwehaverecognized,becauseintacteggspotentiallyconfineembryonicremains. %K dinosaurembryos %K Nankang %K JiangxiProvince %U http://dzhtb.cgs.cn/ch/reader/view_abstract.aspx?file_no=20140701&flag=1
