Theconceptandstatisticalmethodofdroughtresistancein-dexincropsDOI: 10.7668/hbnxb.1993.S2.013, PP. 69-73 Keywords: crop,droughtresistanceindex,clusteranalysis Abstract: Thereisevindenceshowingthatstresssusceptibilityindex(SSI)(1一Yd/Yp)/(1—(?)d/(?)p)usedasameasureofdroughtresistanceofcroponthefieldisanalteredformofdroughtresistancecoefficient(DRC)(Yd/Yp).ThecorrelativecoefficientSSIandDRCisr=-1.Therefore,theSSIdoesn'timprovethedefectoftheDRC.Aftertwoyearsexperimentsper-formedbyusingthirtywinterwheatvarietiesastrialmaterials,theconceptofdroughtresistanceindexincropswasputforward.Itsexpressingequationis:theyieldindrylan×droughtresis-tancecoefficient/averageyieldindryland.Itmakesthedroughtresistancecoefficient(physicalindex)correlatewellwiththeyieldindryland(agronomyindex)andissuitableforbreeder.
