DeepPurificationofZincAmmoniacalLeachingSolutionKeywords: zincammoniacalleachingsolution,zincdust,deeppurification,relativeamountofmetallicimpurities Abstract: Deeppurificationofzincammoniacalleachingsolutionbycementationusingzincdustwasstudied.Theeffectsofrelativeamountofmetallicimpurities,dosageofzincdust,purificationtime,temperature,pHvalueandtotalammoniaconcentrationinthesolutiononthepurificationofthesolutionwereinvestigated.Theresultsindicatethattotalammoniaconcentrationinthesolutionhadnoeffectonthepurification,butrelativeamountofmetallicimpurities,dosageofzincdust,purificationtime,temperatureandpHvalueofthesolutionwerethemainfactorsinfluencingthepurification.Keepingappropriatemolarratioofcoppertocadmiumornickeltocadmiumwasbeneficialtothecementationofcadmium.Nevertheless,thepresenceofcobaltwentagainstthecementationofcadmiumandcobalt.Allmetallicimpuritiescouldbedecreasedtoacceptablelevelsundertheoptimizedconditionsof2g/Lofzincdustdosage,1hofpurificationtime,35℃,pHvalue9.03ofzincammoniacalleachingsolution.Thedeeplypurifiedzincammoniacalsolutionobtainedbyone-stagepurificationmeetstherequirementsofzincelectrowinning.
