HydrolysisofOliveOilwithImmobilizedLipaseinaTaperedColumnReactorKeywords: hydrolysis,oliveoil,immobilizedlipase,taperedcolumnreactor,cylindricalcolumnreactor,pressuredrop Abstract: Lipasewasimmobilizedinionexchangeresinandthenusedinthehydrolysisofoliveoiltoproducefattyacidsandglycerol.Thetimecourseofhydrolysisofoliveoilwasinvestigatedinastirredtankreactorusingbothofthefreeandimmobilizedlipasestofindtheyieldofactivityofimmobilizedenzyme.ContinuoushydrolysisofoliveoilwasalsocarriedoutinataperedcolumnreactorandacylindricalcolumnreactorwithabottomIDof10mmatdifferentupwardflowrates.Itcanbeknownfromexperimentalresultsthatthedegreeofhydrolysisofoliveoilinthetaperedcolumnreactorismoderatelybetterthanthatinthecylindricalcolumnreactor,thepressuredropinthetaperedcolumnreactorismuchsmallerthanthatinthecylindricalcolumnreactor.
