PreparationandAnti-cokingPropertyofSiO2/SCoatingonHP40TubeKeywords: atmosphericpressurechemicalvapordepo,SiO2/Scoating,HP40tube,coke Abstract: SiO2/ScoatingwaspreparedontheinnersurfaceofanHP40tubeusingdimethyldisulfideandtetraethylorthosilicatebyatmosphericpressurechemicalvapordeposition(APCVD)toalleviatecatalyticcokingontheinnersurfaceofradianttubeforethyleneproductioninpetrochemicalplants.ThecomparativecokingexperimentswiththecoatedanduncoatedHP40tubeswerecarriedoutunderthesamecrackingconditions.SiO2/Scoatingwascompactandhadexcellentanti-cokingproperty.ThecokeonthecoatedHP40tubewasabout22%ofthatontheuncoatedHP40tube,andonlysmallgranularcokewasdepositedonthecoatedHP40tube.However,thefilamentouscokeformedontheuncoatedHP40tube.ThethermalstabilityofSiO2/Scoatingwassatisfactoryatcrackingtemperature,andtheanti-cokingpropertyofSiO2/Scoatingwasstillover60%after3cokinganddecokingcycles.
