Abstract:

Hydrogenwaspreparedviacatalyticsteamreformingofbio-oilwhichwasobtainedfromfastpyrolysisofbiomassinafluidizedbedreactor.Influentialfactorsincludingtemperature,weighthourlyspacevelocity(WHSV)ofbio-oil,massratioofsteamtobio-oil(S/B)aswellascatalysttypeonhydrogenselectivityandotherdesirablegasproductswereinvestigated.Basedonhydrogeninstoichiometricpotentialandcarbonbalanceingaseousphaseandfeed,hydrogenyieldandcarbonselectivitywereexamined.TheexperimentalresultsshowthathighertemperaturefavorsthehydrogenselectivitybyH2molefractioningaseousproductsstreamanditplaysanimportantroleinhydrogenyieldandcarbonselectivity.Higherhydrogenselectivityandyield,andcarbonselectivitywereobtainedatlowerbio-oilWHSV.Incatalyticsteamreformingsystemamaximumsteamconcentrationvalueexists,atwhichhydrogenselectivityandyield,andcarbonselectivitykeepconstant.Throughexperiments,preferentialoperationconditionswereobtainedasfollowstemperature800~850℃,bio-oilWHSVbelow3.0h-1,andmassratioofsteamtobio-oil10~12.TheperformancetestsindicatethatNi-basedcatalystsareoptional,especiallyNi/a-Al2O3effectiveinthesteamreformingprocess.
