THEBITINGMIDGESOFCAMBODIA,WITHDESCRIPTIONSOFTWONEWSPECIES(DIPTERA:CERATOPOGONIDAE)Abstract: AlotofbitingmidgescollectedfromCambodia(Phnom-penh,Komp-ongSom,Suong)inⅡ-Ⅳ,1976werestudied.Atotalof16speciesbelong-ingto2genera――LeptoconopsandCulicoidesareobtained.Amongthem,2speciesaredescribedasnewtoecienceand10speciesarenewrecordsforCambodianfauna.Anewrevisedlistofbitingmidgescontaining20speciesareknownfromCambodiauptodate.ItshowsthattherecordofCulicoidesinnoxiusSenetDasGupta,1959fromCambodiaisthenewsynonymofCulicoidesmalagaeMacfie,1937.AlltypespecimensaredepositedintheDepartmentofParasitology,SecondMilitaryMadicalCollege,Shanghai,China.
