WaverotorsusedforexpansionrefrigerationtechnologyDOI: 10.7511/dllgxb201006009, PP. 888-895 Keywords: pressureexchangingrefrigerator,expansionrefrigeration,waverotor Abstract: Waverotorisanunsteadyflowdeviceinwhosepassagespressuredstreamsdirectlycontactandexchangetheenergyduetothemovementofpressurewaves.Anovelrefrigerationapparatusnamedpressureexchangingrefrigerator(PER)isdevelopedbyusingfour-portthroughflow(TF)waverotors.Theoperatingprocedureandrefrigerationprincipleareinvestigatedbasedonone-dimensionalunsteadyflowtheory,andthefluidicbehaviorofPERisalsoanalyzedbymeansofcomputationalfluiddynamics(CFD).Abasiclimitationrelationwithmainstructuralparametersandoperatingparametersisdeduced.Mostmaininfluencingfactorsarestudiedbyexperiments.Theisentropicefficiencynowcanget68%.Theresultsshowthatwaverotorsusedforrefrigerationtechnologyarefeasibleandpromisinginpressuredgasrefrigerationcases.
