TRANSMISSIONANDABSORPTIONOFMICROWAVESBYANINHOMOGENEOUSSPHEREPLASMA, PP. 241-246 Keywords: Sphereplasma,Microwaves Abstract: Thenumericalcalculationofthetransmissionandabsorptionofmicrowavesatanarbitrarilyincidentangletotheinhomogeneoussphericallysymmetricplasmaispresented.Thenonuniformsphereismodeledbyaseriesofconcentricsphericalshells,andtheelectrondensityisconstantineachshell.Theoveralldensityprofilefollowsanygivendistributionfunction.Byusingthegeometricalopticsapproximationandconsideringthepropagationcoefficientiscomplex,aswellastheattenuationandphasecoefficientsarevectors,thedetailedevaluationshowsthatthetransmissionandabsorptionofmicrowavesintheinhomogeneoussphericallysymmetricplasmadependontheelectronandneutralparticlecollisionfrequency,centraldensity,incidentangleofthemicrowavesanddensitydistributionprofiles.
