ComparisonofBBFsobservedbysingleandmultisatellites, PP. 343-348 Keywords: BurstyBulkFlow(BBF),Plasmasheet,SubstormBurstyBulkFlow Abstract: Thispaper,usingthedataofthreeClustersatellites,comparestheobservationsofBurstyBulkFlow(BBF)bysinglesatellitewiththosebymultisatellites.TheresultsindicatethatthereexistsremarkabledifferencebetweenobservationsofBBFbysinglesatelliteandmultisatellites.TheobservationsofBBFbyasinglesatellitedependonitspositionrelativetotheflowchannel.Thedifferenceiscausedbythelocalizationcharacteristicsoffastflowsintheplasmasheet,andcanleadtodivergingviewsaboutsubstormandcausalrelationsamongsubstormphenomena.
