Discussion about Fagetum nudum classi ed as a type of acidophilous beech forestsKeywords: Fagetum nudum , acidophilous beech forest , soil acidity , nutrients in soil , European beech , Luzulo-fagetum Abstract: This work is focused on a speci c type of European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) mo- nocultures Fagetum nudum wherein soil physical-chemical properties as pH, ex- changeable basis and cation exchange capacity are assessed. The assessment was realized on research plots of West Carpathian sub province. Results are discussed with classi cation of Fagetum nudum as a type of acidophilus beech forest and we can see a high di erence of topsoil chemism of Fagetum nudum contrary with a beech wood with an understory cover density higher than 15%. Observed sites of na- ked beech wood show higher trophic properties and higher values of pH as well as higher available nutrients content. This paper is concluded with an accent on a nature of beech forest and an anthropic in uence in the past which can cause a similar perception of naked beech monocultures however potentially present phytocoenoses would be di erent.
